Carey Clayton is a songwriter, producer, and multi instrumentalist from Los Angeles. Starting his career as a guitarist and contributing member for indie pop act Great Good Fine Ok, and producing/writing for scores of artists and collaborators, 2020 saw the release of his first solo efforts, Matinee EP and Blind Eye LP, while 2021 saw the release of gradually, suddenly, exclaimed by The Further to be “the best album of the summer”. His follow up EP, Foreign Tongues, in collaboration with cellist Little Kruta, goes even deeper exploring a more intimate, haunting, cinematic, yet altogether singular sound. With orchestral passages juxtaposed by electronic elements, held together by Clayton’s songwriting and vocals, Foreign Tongues feels like a collection for songs told around the embers of a campfire. Clayton has released 2 single “Light On” and “Pattern of Motions” in advance of his forthcoming concept album Headless. Clayton also creates makes music as part of Fore Fader.
